Haus Lindenfels is a nursing-home and residence situated in the middle of the Odenwald. The house has been built by and for people who want to live by the rules of Christian Science and demonstrate healing of physical and non-physical problems. Nursing service in accordance with the theology of Christian Science is provided in the house and by visiting nurse service.

Haus Lindenfels also provides a meeting place for all seekers for better understanding of Christian Science and its various applications for the individual and for our society.

All Christian Scientists, those who call themselves followers of this religion, and those with a keen interest in it are very welcome.

The Institution is carried by a legal society (Eingetragener Verein) named Christian Science Pflegewerk e.V., registered  in Frankfurt am Main, and it is also a member of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband, Germany.

Haus Lindenfels may be used by all who are ready to earnestly study and practice Christian Science, independent of membership with a Christian Science Church or with Christian Science Pflegewerk e.V..

Nurses in Haus Lindenfels have completed Christian Science Class Instruction, being thereby qualified to meet the metaphysical requirements for Christian Science Nursing. Most of them are graduated Christian Science nurses having successfully completed all training and field experience to be listed as a Christian Science Nurse.

The estate of Haus Lindenfels measures 10,000 m2  in a nature resort.

There are three buildings, one with four condo-like apartments, another one with 3 apartments and the main building with nursing facilities and up to 30 beds. This main building also has five more apartments, a dining hall and kitchen, another hall with fireplace and piano, common rooms with TV and piano, a well equipped reading room, and offices for the administration. A computer with a fast DSL connection can be used by all guests for internet and e-mail.

The property of Haus Lindenfels together with some buildings was acquired by the Christian Science Pflegewerk on April 1, 1985 and dedicated on April 30, 1988 after extensive modifications and restructuring. Even after the opening of the facility the structures have been updated continuously to meet the needs of our guests and the requirements of supervisory authorities. Today Haus Lindenfels is suited not only for nursing care but also for residential living and  for rest and study guests. The estate is situated in a nature compound.

Lindenfels is a small community slightly elevated in the beautiful Odenwald, an area like a national park. It is topped by the ruins of an old fortress. Sightseeing trips can be made to many beautiful close locations and also to Heidelberg.
